Recuerdo como hace unos años los "técnicos" de Ikastolen Elkartea nos trataban como "iluminados" cuando les hablábamos de Firefox; "eramos cuatro gatos" los que usábamos Firefox nos dijeron. Ahora tenemos un portal desarrollado y diseñado exclusivamente para un navegador que cada vez usa menos gente y que dentro de poco lo usarán, entonces si, cuatro gatos. En fin, una prueba más de lo importante que es respetar los estándares web por una parte y usar aplicaciones libres, desarrollos abiertos y estables, que no estén sujetos a las decisiones interesadas de desarrolladores particulares que sólo buscan mantener a los clientes atados a su servicio.

¿Dónde está, por tanto, el límite entre respetar la privacidad del menor y las medidas que se deben tomar para desarrollar ese control por parte de los progenitores?
No hay una barrera como tal, es muy difícil. Los menores están sujetos a todos los derechos pero los padres y madres tienen a su vez el deber de protección. Esa barrera debería ser móvil o variable en función de cómo sea el propio menor, de su edad y de si ha detectado algún indicio de que pueda sufrir un problema. En principio no hay por qué estar obsesionados pero sí supervisar sus prácticas.
